Big dreams next. Going to submit short stories for publication and search around for a REAL job! I was thinking of possibly Charleston or Columbia to look. I have family in Columbia so that might be ideal [and i be nearer to some other cosplayers, yay]

7th -Hellenistic World paper due monday; extra credit for Modern China monday at 3
9th-Imperialism paper due Wednesday
10th-Thesis due Thursday. Needs to be revised [again], bound, i need a title, etc O.O, Celebration V tickets on SALE!
11th -Modern China final at 11, Hellenistic World final at 1:30, 1954 Alumni Society induction at 4, PRINCESS AND THE FROG WITH MOMMY
-DECEMBER 12, 2009 GRADUATION AT 10 AM!!!!!!!!
After that, a much needed [and much deserved] break and job search.
In other news just as exciting as graduating college, Celebration was finally announced! For those that dont know, Celebration is a Star Wars convention that is only held during prominent years for the franchise. It is not held every year [wasnt held this year] and is never in the same place. The last Celebration held was Celebration Japan and that was in 2008. They recently announced Celebration V to be held in Orlando, Florida in August 2010. It will be the 12-15 and i am SUPER EXCITED! I've been waiting for this announcement for atleast a year or more. So to finally have a date and location...and the fact that the location is close to me...is so amazing! Tickets go on sale on the 10th so i'm thinking of sliding it to my mom for a possible graduation present [along with my XBox 360!] I know i have big plans as far as conventions go [Otakon, Dragon*Con, and NOW Celebration!?!], but if worse comes to worse then Celebration will take priority over everything because i am -as is anyone- not sure there will be more Celebrations OR when they will be OR where. I am just really wanting to attend the event since it will be different from a anime convention. I just REALLY want to attend something other then anime conventions. Celebration and the Twilight convention will certainly be a different change of pace and i still get to cosplay and do what i love.

Out of that list, very excited for Avatar because it looks so beautiful, Daybreakers because its a new spin on vampires, Remember Me cause I need my romance and Precious cause I must see Mo'nique and Mariah Carey in roles certainly different from who they normally are
Anyway, I'm certainly going to cosplay Jane. I think Dakota Fanning was seriously cute as Jane...even if Jane is so nonchalantly 'evil' (it depends on your perception of her but she seems to enjoy causing pain to others lol)
I also have a sty on my eyelid right now and its painful everytime I blink. It didn't keep me from seeing Taylor/Jacob in the movie though :)

There is absolutely nothing on tv right now that i want to watch...so i keep the channel on TV Guide till something pops up. Its cold and wet outside, which makes me really unhappy. I've been quite busy lately. Just got through with a Group Presentation today, but now my focus shifts to a 12 page research paper on footbinding that is due Monday. I also would actually like to write some on my NaNo today considering i am REALLY behind on word count, which makes me nervous. I'll be submitting some of my short stories for publication soon thanks to my advisor. Between he and i, we should be able to get something accomplished.
I really need to start searching for a job for the holiday season. I plan to do it tomorrow. Finances is not a good topic in my family right now. I think we actually might forgo christmas gifts this year and maybe not even celebrate. my stupid cell phone messed up so i had to get a new one which was $100. i could have kept using this old Razr, but, after 60 days, i would have no longer been able to get a new Blackberry. Theres also the matter of paying some parking tickets and my rent is behind. Screw you, life.
BUT, lets completely ignore the fact that i have no money and shift to things that i would probably need money for: Conventions, Cosplay, and Lolita. [no pics under the cut so just text text text. i'm too lazy for pics]

Im gonna do NaNo this year after a hiatus last year. Its going to be a lot of writing going on in November.
My senior thesis novel has to be written and cleaned up during November. Its titled Before I Wake right now, but i feel like changing it.
NaNo, which is where you write 50000 words by the end of November, will be started at 12:01 Halloween. I have three ideas, but i'll probably just either do one or two of them:
Neo - Necros is a zombie novel taking place nearly a decade after the zombies came.
Wasted is a young adult[? prehaps] novel [could potentially be a series] about the life of a British rock band - or should they be like gamers playing rock band all seriously! rofl. that would make it a comedy, which its not o.O
nameless novel - ugg need a name - is about a prince exiled from his kingdom by his evil uncle
I really dont think a writer needs some particular niche or genre that they write in. i used to only write fantasy, but decided that i needed to broaden what i wrote in order to be successful. im kinda excited about everything that i'm writing now...except my freaking thesis novel. In all honesty, i want to chuck that thing into the fire. Im going to really ask him if i can write Wasted instead for my senior thesis, but its kinda late to be changing and stuff.
Im so dissapointed in myself for not doing well on my history midterm.

My classes this semester seem really hard. Something is always going on in each of them. With so many assingments i keep forgetting when something is due in whatever class. I forgot an outline for a paper today [and totally bombed his pop quiz as usual.] I forgot because im so concerned with a midterm that i have to take monday and group assignments in another class. I didnt want my graduating semester to be so difficult.
I wish i had a time machine just for the last 4-5 years. I'd certainly start out as the major i am now instead of computer science. I'd work harder at school and not focus on a relationship that was utter fail. I'd probably not worry about cosplay as much because i'd be focused on school. I'd try and keep a steady job and help my parents with my rent, etc. I'd have started lolita sooner. I'd have graduated in MAY! Damn it.
edit: and i had a dream last night that i went back to my old job. they rehired me, but completely ostracized me about my journal and harrassed me. ugg. before that i had a dream i got the job i just applied for though, yay!

I like it, but cant decide if its because everyone is so hyped about it. I think its a bit diffent for Baby and any sweet brand, especially in the darker colors. I do, however, think i want Meta's MoonCat:
Tinker Bell? Tia Dalma? Lolita Minnie Mouse?
Whichever I choose...YAY DISNEY COSTUME. I'm leaning towards Tia because it'll stand out and she's awesome. Maybe I can convince someone to be Jack.

This convention was pretty fun this year. i met so many people which is good since there arent many fans in this area. I arrived on friday wearing lolita. I had on Bodyline's Fruit Parlour replica in red, red/white socks, red montreal shoes, and awesome AP headband [i haz pic, but that'll have to be later when i find my camera cord o.O]. Everyone called me Strawberry Shortcake the entire time. Then i was SUPER SHOCKED there was a lolita clothing vendor there! They even had a small amount of brand [Baby and AP] I was in love with this white AP skirt, but, alas, i had no money. I left early this day because i wanted to go to a football game [looove football season]

my three ebay items sold! im so happy to get rid of wedding stuff and to get some much needed money. the first thing i thought about was COSPLAYORLOLITAYAY! Then i begin to think realistically about how i really need to NOT get any of that stuff because my life is in shambles money wise right now. i seriously only have like $10. I do need to buy atleast one wig though or Aisha fabric. but idk if i will.
Im thinking of putting up my camera for sale since i dont use it, need a new one, and cant justify having two if i get a new one. I've just been too lazy to make the ad on ebay for the camera. [i'll do it tomorrow. swamped with work and xcon stuff right now >.<] I own every Shonen Jump from 03-07 [stopped collecting them because they took up too much space] so maybe those would get me something. Im kinda wary of selling them because they were an obsession on mine.
hmm...what else can i sell...OH, i'm gonna sell my Yoko wig for real cheap so i can buy a new one. Its a bit tangled so im thinking i'll sell it for $15 which is GOOD considering its from COSPLAYWIG and not in a horrible condition - and smells good according to my roommate. I wont sell it till i get a new one though.
Yoko is nearly done. I have a photoshoot thursday in my still unfinished costume. By next saturday when I wear it to the con I might actually have those darn wrist bangle thingies.
Black*star has no shoeeees oh noes! O.O there's a pair of boots at home that could work as temporary boots [if they're painted] so I'll look for them when I visit this weekend...in a hellishly unorganized barn my family has.
Silk Spectre I needs a wig, but I don't care cause I aint buying one. Just might touch up a few things on that costume and wear it for the cosplay panel the X Girls are running [I fear it to be disorganized cause we haven't planned it!]

As for Ponyo, I'm not suuuure! I want it soooo bad since Xcon is by the ocean and just perfect, but it'll be difficult to make this right now without a job! Since I live at the beach, I don't really have to make Ponyo just because xcon takes place at a resort (I could simply just go down and take pics anytime), but I honestly want that costume NOW! Oh money. U forsake me. :(
Abd I reeeeally want something to cosplay from Dissidia! I was thinking of just screwing waiting for 13 and doing Vanille before release date, but I now just want a Dissidia character. Too many characters to choose from o.O
First brithday wishes to my best friend since 4th grade, flotown_girl We're both 22 now and we've shared so much of our lives together! First anime convention, graduating highschool, going off to college, etc! Yay for turning another year older!!!
